Impulse space

Impulse Space is a space transportation company founded in 2021 by Tom Mueller, one of SpaceX’s original propulsion engineers. Headquartered in Redondo Beach, California, Impulse focuses on providing in-space logistics, including orbital transfer, payload delivery, and mission support for satellites across low Earth orbit, geostationary orbit, and beyond. The company is developing a family of orbital transfer vehicles—such as Mira and Helios—that leverage high-performance, cost-efficient propulsion systems to maneuver payloads precisely and flexibly once in orbit. With a vision to make access to and mobility within space more affordable and routine, Impulse Space aims to serve both commercial and government customers while advancing the broader in-space economy.
