Daniel Kleinmann is a venture capital leader specializing in Space Technologies and Deep Tech. He co-founded Balerion Space Ventures in 2022, serving as General Partner alongside Phil Scully and Daniel Wallman. Balerion invests in early‑ to mid‑stage startups, driving the growth of the new space economy.

Before Balerion, Daniel was a founding Principal at Explorer 1 Fund, an early-stage venture fund focused on space sector investments, launched in 2021. Before that, he led early-stage venture strategy and direct investments at a single-family office based in Dallas (2018–2021), targeting healthcare, life sciences, enterprise software, and deep-tech startups.

Earlier in his career, Daniel played a key role in the Tel Aviv tech ecosystem, supporting startup scouting and investor relations, and helped global investors access Israeli innovation, particularly in cyber, fintech, and deep-tech sectors.
